Cloud directory, SSO and device management for mixed Mac, Windows and Linux fleets.
Directory, access and identity threat protection for workforces and service accounts.
Verizon found that stolen or misused credentials were the first step in 13% of the breaches in its 2026 report, down from 22% a year earlier, mainly because it began counting pretexting as a separate category.1 Identity products fall into two groups. Cloud directories create users, run single sign-on and manage devices, often in place of on-premises Active Directory. Identity threat protection platforms leave the directory in place and add MFA and monitoring to systems, scripts and service accounts that never supported it. Licensing differs too: some vendors charge per user, others by total employee headcount.
